Organizational Strategies
Guided by Community
Strategic Plan
We take a people centered approach to community development. Building off of OB2020, our strategic plan guides all organizational activity for people, place, and operations.
Health In Action
The conditions of our neighborhoods have a direct impact on the quality of our lives. Health In Action is the nation’s first neighborhood based Community Health Needs Assessment that we use for strategic implementation.
Broadview Reimagined: Commercial Corridor Needs Assessment
The Broadview Reimagined Report, undertaken by OBCDC Staff, in the first half of 2024, is a comprehensive assessment intended to understand and acknowledge current conditions of the Broadview Road Commercial Corridor. This report outlines the context, process, and results of the intensive study of the Broadview Road Commercial Corridor, by OBCDC staff, and will provide an analysis of its present strengths and weaknesses with a roadmap of future opportunities derived from the preceding. The roadmap will guide future interventions along the corridor and recommend tactics and strategies for future development, place-based programming, and public realm improvements.
There are three main organizing principles behind the CCNA and creation of this report:
An intentional acknowledgement of the Broadview Road Commercial Corridor having unique strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities
An established zero-point to measure change in health & vitality of the corridor over time where data and key stakeholder engagements inform activities
A memorialized strategic guideline developed alongside stakeholders as well as a tool to build alignment among them while seeking new partners and to generate momentum for positive change
